Lake Victoria in Africa hosts thousands of species of Cichlids, these brightly colored fish which have become popular for aquariums. They make an interesting study in evolution, given that there are many species in the wild which are in very close proximity to each other, while still being isolated. To adapt,. the different types of Cichlids have adopted varied diets and lifestyles, creating an incredible diversity in species.
