3D Minute: Broad-tailed Hummingbird

The state of Arizona hosts the largest number of hummingbird species in the United States - at least 17, at one recent count. Some live in the area all year, while others visit en route to a wide array of destinations across North America. The Ruby Throated Hummingbird, for example, migrates over 2000 miles, from Mexico to Canada, forcing the tiny bird to achieve a 500 mile non-stop flight across the Gulf of Mexico.
