Newscast #31 Topic: NASA Uses Spitzer Telescope to Photograph Galaxy NASA produces a photo mosaic of our galaxy by combining 800,000 pictures taken by the Spitzer Telescope. The most detailed infrared portrait of the Milky Way so far, it’s likely to one of our last for awhile as Spitzer runs out of coolant and shuts down next year.
